"...that was the best thing I've ever done...!"

Today was the annual Heathcote Valley River Race - and what a day it was! It is the biggest day on the Heathcote Valley community calendar!

All sorts of people and groups take part: individuals, families, friends, communtiy groups such as Keas. They all challenge eachother to raft the one kilometer from the Waltham swimming pool, past the St Martin's Road over bridge and down to the end of Riverlaw Tce. All the way dodging the buckets of water and flour bombs being hurled from the banks and off the many bridges that cross over the river along the route.
