Today we took the Black Cat, a twin hull ferry, to Quail Island in Lyttleton Harbour. We had a great time exploring this old Leprosy quarantine island. We took the walk round the whole island, 4.5km. Kids did well. Wish I had taken the kites as it was pretty windy! Great views from up top and a nice beach at the end and out of the wind, for lunch! Photo below shows some of the old ship wrecks.
